MM2H Requirements for Visa Permit Application
MM2h Visa Application Guide in 2024: Learn about the key requirements for applying to the Malaysia My Second Home program, including financial criteria, age limits, and visa permit details. Secure a long-term visa and enjoy residency in Malaysia for 5, 10, or 20 years. The new MM2H Program, now includes three categories: Silver, Gold, and Platinum. The new MM2H regulations maintain the three-tier framework without any income requirements structure that MoTAC introduced in June, 2024 but introduce changes to the program’s criteria.


In each case, up to half of the deposit may be withdrawn to pay for education, health care or buying a house. If buying a house, the minimum home price must be MYR 600,000 (Silver) or MYR 1 million (Gold) or MYR1.5 million (Platinum).
In each case, the following additional terms apply:
Minimum age: 30 years old Parents and in-laws can be included as dependents as long as they are over 60 years old.
Children of the main applicant: The maximum age is 34 (as long as the child is unmarried and not working in Malaysia).
Annual physical presence:
60 days a year for main applicant or spouse/dependents (if main applicant aged 30-49).
60 days a year for main applicant and spouse (if main applicant aged 50+).


Service Fees:
MM2H licensed operators can charge service fees as follows (Fixed by MoTAC): Platinum: MYR 70,000
Gold: MYR 55,000
Silver: MYR 40,000
Special Zones: MYR 40,000
MM2H holders, regardless of tier, cannot resell their property for ten years. However, they can upgrade to a property with a higher value during that period.
MM2H application to be processed through licensed operators of Malaysia origin only.
